It’s only May, yet Sopana Rajendran from The-V has already contributed 24 hours volunteering in various SSR activities this year!
I have fallen in love with the work I do here, because of the abundant opportunity we have to give back to the community. I found my calling for volunteering through the many staff social responsibility projects spearheaded by RYTHM Foundation. I understood the true meaning of serving above self in order to make a difference in the lives of those in need through volunteering. One of my most memorable experiences was when we arranged to take a group of children from an orphanage to the National Science Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
They were so happy and so curious. Their smiles lit up their face and it was priceless to watch them experience something so new to them. Another great experience was when we planted 250 tree saplings at the Raja Musa Forest. The fact that I had played a small part in greening the planet for the future generation gave me the type of satisfaction that can’t be described in words!
