RYTHM Foundation has been honoured with two awards at India’s recent ‘CSR & Sustainability Awards 2025,’ recognising our impactful women’s empowerment and education initiatives.
The Safer Cities for Girls project, a collaboration with Plan India, was recognised for transforming an urban resettlement space in Delhi to ensure the safety and empowerment of adolescent girls. The programme focuses on protecting girls while fostering opportunities for them to thrive in the settlement.
The Enabling Foundational Literacy and Numeracy in Rural North Bengal initiative, developed with Parinaama Development Foundation, received acclaim for improving literacy rates in rural communities, breaking the cycle of poverty, and enabling beneficiaries to access better opportunities.
“The awards reaffirm our commitment to driving social change through these and other projects. We share this recognition with our dedicated partners and the communities we serve, whose resilience and determination make our work possible,” the Head of RYTHM Foundation, Santhi Periasamy, said after accepting the honours in New Delhi.
The awards, organised by the All-India Business Community & Foundation (AIBCF), recognised recipients for their exemplary CSR initiatives and impactful contributions to socio-economic development.
Ethical Governance Through CSR
Santhi also joined a panel discussion during a conference held as part of the awards. She shared insights on the impact of CSR initiatives in promoting ethical governance and strengthening collaborations.
“CSR has evolved beyond just connecting businesses with communities,” Santhi noted. “Today, CSR is integrated into global frameworks such as the International Labour Organisation and the United Nations, focusing on practices that benefit people and the planet.
“CSR can combat corruption by promoting transparency and accountability. When businesses lead by example, they set a standard for ethical behaviour, which can spread to the communities they serve.”
Santhi also highlighted the role of corporate social impact organisations like RYTHM in fostering collaboration between businesses and communities.
“Good governance is crucial for building trust and credibility. At RYTHM, we ensure that the programmes we support uphold high standards of transparency and accountability. This fosters mutual trust with communities, enabling businesses and non-profits to work together on impactful projects.”
