Reviving Heritage Through Creativity
RYTHM Foundation launched its arts grants and scholarship initiatives this year with the inaugural Kala Vriksha (Tree of Time), a vibrant celebration of traditional music and dance. The event highlighted the transformative power of the arts in preserving traditions while fostering the next generation of artistic talent – as the Foundation took its first step in championing the Vijayaratnam Fine & Performing Arts Grants & Scholarships initiative.
Shaping Futures in Special Education
The Foundation’s Taarana School for Special Education achieved a proud milestone by being named Best Special Education Centre of the Year at the PEEAM-Edu Awards 2024. This accolade reflects our dedication to inclusive education and social impact through equitable opportunities for all children.
Empowering Girls on a Grand Scale
The flagship Maharani Programme reached new heights, with the Maharani School Programme hosting its largest-ever camp and the Maharani Learning Lab launching its new premises. Meanwhile, our first girls’ educational foray into Cambodia empowered young leaders to face future challenges with resilience and confidence.
Restoring Nature, Revitalizing Communities
In Sri Lanka, we supported a mangrove restoration project, planting thousands of saplings to combat climate change and revitalize coastal ecosystems. This initiative reflects our dual focus on environmental sustainability and community progress, driving social impact through ecological stewardship.

Through the Roundtable Discussion on Indigenous Communities: Education & Livelihood, we addressed critical issues facing Malaysia’s marginalized indigenous Orang Asli groups, working to improve education, eco-tourism, and sustainable livelihoods for these communities while preserving their cultural heritage.
