Do you still remember The PITCH! a contest that was held by QNET and launched by Chief Pathman during V-Indonesia 2012?
The PITCH! was open to all Independent Representatives (IRs) and encouraged contestants to pitch an idea on how to make a difference in his or her community for a chance to win a grant of USD 10,000 from QNET to implement the idea.
The response was overwhelming, and we received amazing ideas from all over the world! After having shortlisted 6 projects, QNET and RYTHM Foundation are proud to announce that we have selected the THREE best winning ideas! Each winning project will be awarded with a grant of USD 10,000 from QNET under the QNET Pays FORWARD initiative and implemented by RYTHM Foundation.
Here are the lucky winners with their amazing PITCH! ideas:
• From Uganda, Emmanuel Emodek pitched the idea for NGO Pay It Forward Foundation Uganda to launch the Shiri Skills With A Mission, a foundation that will provide vocational training in bike mechanics, sports, and other skills for underprivileged children who can gain valuable life skills to better their lives.
• From Egypt, Shaimaa Amir Ahmed Ali pitched the idea for the Resala Charity Organisation to open the Resala Organization Center for Teaching and Qualifying Mentally Handicapped, which is a school focussed on providing education and skills for disabled children.
• From India, Sangeeta Motupalli pitched the idea for the Li’ll Hearts Educational Society learning centre to build 6 to 8 new classrooms and a new computer lab, and also upgrade facilities such as the library to provide basic academic and holistic education for underprivileged children.
QNET and RYTHM Foundation would like to extend a hearty thank you to all those who took precious time and effort to participate in The PITCH! We believe that with your support we will be able to carry out more of such amazing projects in the future.
Once again, congratulations to all our winners and we look forward to helping you make a difference in your community.
