A team effort.
Through Seashore Life Programme, volunteers lend a hand to Mother Nature by getting involved in beach-cleaning activities, whilst learning about the natural eco-system and the environment. The wet weather did not dampen the spirits of the participating staff. In fact, it made the excursion more enjoyable for the 35 participants, who were tasked to clear the area of as much litter as possible.
Even cleaning up seems like a breeze when you work together.
Before setting off, staff were given a briefing on basic safety guidelines, such as keeping shoes on, avoiding getting into the water and watching out for dangerous objects – mind the glass, jellyfish and sea urchins! Employees were also reminded to drink plenty of water and rest when feeling unwell. So what if something did happen? No worries! QI staff were also given simple first aid tips to prepare them for emergencies.
We can do it!
That day, staff put into practice what we always encourage at RYTHM Foundation – the importance of raising yourself for the greater good, and of caring for the environment, which is one of the Foundation’s pillars. The outing was a fantastic chance for employees to appreciate Mother Nature’s beautiful gifts. Who says CSR activities can’t be fun?
