Over the years, RYTHM Foundation – the social impact arm of the QI Group – has worked on a broad range of projects to empower lives and transforming communities. These impactful partnerships and initiatives are detailed in RYTHM AROUND THE WORLD, a new e-publication by the Foundation to highlight the social concerns communities worldwide face and underline the organisation’s efforts to address these issues.
Having expanded its footprint worldwide, reaching out to communities in need to bring about lasting change, the Foundation has collaborated with numerous organisations to improve and advance gender equality, provide access to education for all, and uplift the underserved through numerous sustainable programmes.
This collection of powerful images and compelling impact stories emphasises the efforts and organisations RYTHM has been involved with, primarily in Southeast Asia, India, Sri Lanka, and Africa.
In her message for the book, RYTHM Chairperson Datin Sri Umayal Eswaran describes the Foundation’s far-reaching efforts as helping communities help themselves.
“Financial support is only one aspect of any effort because it needs to start somewhere. We support communities with other resources, knowledge, and skills to uplift the needy out of poverty.
“We firmly believe that philanthropy should start in our backyard and extend to anyone who needs help. Our goal is to empower lives and transform communities, regardless of geographical barriers,” Datin Sri Umayal says.
The long-term sustainable community and educational programmes have ranged from funding medical treatment, building schools, and providing electricity to remote communities.
RYTHM AROUND THE WORLD also provides information for QI’s employees, showcasing the group’s desire to help humankind and inspiring them to do the same.
The Foundation’s Head, Santhi Periasamy, says, “With the ability of e-books to present information in an impactful and meaningful way and its ease of dissemination, it was the perfect choice to communicate our corporate philosophy to a global audience.
“By highlighting the communities and organisations we work with worldwide and telling their stories, this e-book can showcase the various ways people can still empower lives and transform communities.”
The Foundation also hopes that awareness of the issues sparks conversations that ultimately improve the affected communities’ situations.
“Alternatively, this could also help bring to light issues that our readers know. By informing the Foundation, we can then examine how we can help. By disseminating this e-book, we hope to encourage organisations to seek out communities in need and do what they can,” Santhi adds.
