A donated van for Sri Bala Illam Children’s Home in Kuala Lumpur is making its daily school runs much more manageable. The vehicle, donated by RYTHM Foundation, helps address the home’s long-standing transportation challenges, ensuring the children get to and from school more efficiently.
Before the van’s arrival, the home’s supervisors had to rely on a single car, making multiple daily trips to get all the children to school on time. The new vehicle makes their journeys more efficient, allowing the children to arrive comfortably and focus on their studies without worrying about transportation.
“Providing this van is our small way of easing the burden on Sri Bala Illam’s dedicated caretakers,” said RYTHM Foundation Head Santhi Periasamy. “More importantly, we hope it helps the children by ensuring they can get to school comfortably and focus on their education.”

Santhi also encouraged the students to make the most of this opportunity: “This is for your convenience so that you can concentrate on studying hard and doing well in school. Education is the key to building a better future.”
Sri Bala Illam benefits from RYTHM’s Employee Community Impact (ECI) initiative, where employees volunteer at various organisations and projects. Through this programme, our employees have dedicated their time to supporting the home’s children through mentoring, activities, and educational support.
